7 Upcoming Kpop Groups

2021 has just begun! And with the new year, comes new groups. There have already been a bunch of auditions for new groups in this year, namely BeLift's auditions and SM's most recent auditions for a new boy group. However, there are already some groups that are expected to debut this year. Here are 8 new upcoming K-Pop Groups that are expected to debut this year.

Purple Kiss. This is expected to be the newest group under Mamamoo and Onewe's record label, RBW entertainment. They've already released their pre-debut single, 'My Heart Skips a Beat.' Granted, only the performance video was released, but they've already gained quite a bit of interest and have half a million views on the video! Let's hope that the year brings luck to them!

Tri.be. Now, this group actually has a specific debut date. They are set to debut in February 2021. They are under TR entertainment and have 7 members so far. However, they used to be under Lionheart entertainment. Furthermore, all of the members seem extremely qualified. I am especially look forward to their debut.

Kingdom. This group also has a specific debut date! Incidentally, just like Tri.be, their debut is set to be in February of this year. What a coincidence. This is a 7 member boy group under GF entertainment. Most of the members have also appeared on survival shows like Produce 101 and MIXNINE, so hopefully that will work in their favor

Mystic Story Girls. Sadly, this group does not have a specific debut date, but it stands to reason that they will debut sometime around the beginning of this year. Their name is only tentative, and they are a six member girl group. They are under Mystic Story entertainment, which might sound like a very small label, but they are in fact a subsidiary of SM entertainment.

MilkyWay. This group also does not have a specific debut date. If you've noticed a pattern here, I would assume that because of the second wave in Korea at the moment, it is incredibly hard to nail down when a group is supposed to debut. Therefore, only groups under moderately sized labels are able to release music at the time. This is a five member girl group under GG Agency.

T1419. I was a bit late with this group, due to procrastination. I began writing this article on January 10th, but this group has since debuted, on January 11th. I'm still going to write about it, though. This is a group under MLD entertainment, the same company as Momoland. They are a nine-member boy group that officially debuted with ASURABALBALTA.

Rolling Quartz. Again, technically, this group has already debuted, but it debuted around a few weeks ago, so this article isn't too late, thankfully. This is a K-Rock band that has music being distributed by Mirrorball Music, a widely known Indie Record Label. Their most recent single was Blaze, and I highly recommend it.
